Practices and Duas For Protection From Satan
Satan plays with both our hearts and minds. We should ask for Allah’s protection from Satan. Following are the practices and duas for protection from satan.
Dua 1
وَ قُلْ رَّبِّ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزٰتِ الشَّیٰطِیْنِ
وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ رَبِّ اَنْ یَّحْضُرُوْنِ
Rabbi ‘a`outhubika min hamazaatish-shayaateeni, wa ‘a`outhu bika rabbi ‘ay-yahdhuroon
My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me.
(Surah Al-Mu’minoon – 23:97-98)
Dua 2
A’oothu billaahi minash-Shaytaanir-rajeem
I seek refuge with Allah against the Satan, the outcast.
(Abu Dawud: 4781 Al-Bukhari: 6115)
Dua 3
A’oothu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaqa
I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
(Abu Dawud: 3899)
Maintain all obligatory prayers on time.
Make sure to recite the morning and evening adhkar regularly every day.
Engage with the Quran every day.
Have righteous friends and keep their company as much as possible.
Recite Surah Al Baqarah whenever you feel weak.
Get busy, and occupy yourself with useful activities.
